   Appetizer time, in the rain. I'd be mooching some chemical/carbon-based heat soon. Brrr. It didn't make sleeping in the rain any easier, I don't hike with a tent. My bottom tarp sort of became my tent, a really noisy tyvek one.

   The next day the creek rose with the rain and crossing was psychologically harder for some folks.

   Like I was saying…. People have no problems taking a 2ft step if it's on a sidewalk. But somehow the same 2ft step becomes harder…

   Just outside camp is a 1000ft climb with full packs. Our bodies haven't warmed up yet, but this climb will do the trick!
